Vice President Affirms Gov’t Readiness to Enhance Mutual Collaboration MTN Ghana

Vice President Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang has affirms the government’s readiness to enhance mutual collaboration with MTN Ghana for economic development.
The Vice President at a meeting with the leadership of MTN Ghana, led by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Stephen Blewett, to her office reaffirmed the government commitment in collaborating with the MTN to drive national development.
Mr. Blewett , CEO of the telecommunication giant has been a pivotal player in advancing digital literacy, and their willingness to further support government initiatives was warmly welcomed by the Vice President.
The Vice President Jane opoku-Agyemang expressed appreciation for MTN Ghana’s existing partnerships and encouraged the company to expand its network coverage to underserved and remote communities, ensuring equitable access to digital services. This move would bridge the digital divide and foster inclusive growth. MTN Ghana’s innovative initiatives, such as the Girls in ICT program and Robotics Training, were particularly impressive to the Vice President. These programs promote digital skills and technological advancement, empowering the next generation of leaders.
The Y’ellow Ladies program, aimed at empowering women to assume senior leadership positions, was also commended for its efforts in promoting gender equality and women’s empowerment.
The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment from MTN Ghana to continue playing a vital role in Ghana’s digital transformation agenda. Powerfully, by leveraging its expertise and resources, MTN Ghana is indeed set to make a lasting impact on the country’s socio-economic development, driving economic growth and promoting digital inclusion.
