Sekyere Kumawu Assembly Provides Financial and Start-up Kits to PWDs

Mr Kwasi Amankwah, The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Sekyere Kumawu Assembly, has presented financial support and essential items to 100 Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) across the district.
According to him, The initiative aims to empower PWDs and promote inclusivity in the communities.
He disclosed that Thirty-five  35) PWDs received a total of Gh¢ 100,000 for business support, with each getting Gh¢ 2,000 to kickstart or boost their Businesses.
He indicated that Fifteen of them were supported with medical assistance, while  twenty (20) students among them received educational support, including those in special schools and a training colleges.
 The Assembly directly engaged approved suppliers to ensure that resources were utilized effectively and efficiently.
Mr. Kwasi Amankwaa expressed the view that the gesture is in line with creating an environment where every individual, regardless of their abilities can live with dignity and contribute to their communities growth.
The DCE disclosed that the support provided by the Assembly has brought renewed hope and determination to the beneficiaries.
He reiterated that the initiative demonstrates the district’s commitment to inclusivity and empowerment, taking a significant step towards creating a more equitable society where everyone can thrive
Madam Regina Ampomaa, on behalf of the beneficiaries commend the government for increasing the disabilities fund, and urge the beneficiaries to make good use of the support, emphasizing the importance of leveraging the resources to improve their livelihoods.
