Sefwi Akontombra MP and DCE Commission CHPS Compound at Sefwi Shed

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Sefwi Akontombra Constituency, Mr. Pious Kwame Nkuah, and the District Chief Executive (DCE), Mr. Joseph Appiah, have commissioned a Community Health-Based Planning Services (CHPS) compound for the people of Sefwi Shed community. The ceremony marked a significant milestone in healthcare delivery, aiming to improve access to quality healthcare services within the community and its environs.

The DCE emphasized that the CHPS compound would provide primary healthcare services closer to the people, reducing travel time for medical attention and enhancing child health services. He commended the MP’s collaborative efforts and reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to strengthening healthcare infrastructure

The MP, Mr. Nkuah, reiterated his support for initiatives improving the constituents’ well-being, highlighting health as a key development priority. Traditional leaders, including Nana Yaw Badu II, praised the MP and DCE for their joint efforts and pledged to maintain the facility.

The commissioning ceremony was followed by the handing over of a mechanized borehole to the Asantekrom community, addressing the lack of portable drinking water
