The Platform for Elite Teachers has expressed its strong support for Professor Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang, the Vice President of the Republic, to become the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in 2028.
In a press conference, Mr. Samuel Owusu Kankam, Executive Director of the organization, stated that Prof Opoku-Agyemang’s leadership is grounded in knowledge, integrity, courage, and national purpose, making her the ideal candidate for the position.
Prof Opoku-Agyemang’s academic and professional background was highlighted, showcasing her commitment to education and national development. Her tenure as Vice-Chancellor of the University of Cape Coast and Minister for Education demonstrated her ability to drive institutional transformation and promote access to quality education.
