NDC Ashanti Youth Organizer Calls for Unity and Vigor as Party Enters New Year
From Ernest Best Anane, Kumasi
Mr Osman Abdalah Nabali, The Ashanti Regional Youth Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has urged party members, leaders and grassroots supporters to prioritize the strengthening of the party as they step into 2026.
In a New Year message issued on Tuesday, Mr. Nabali emphasized the need for unity in backing President John Dramani Mahama’s agenda to “reset” the nation and build economic resilience across all sectors. “This is the time to be more united than ever in support of His Excellency’s vision for a stronger Ghana,” he said.
The youth organizer also warned government appointees against complacency, reminding them that political power is transient. “We must tread cautiously in whatever portfolio we occupy,” he cautioned, urging transparency and good relations with party structures at the branch, constituency and regional levels.
Mr. Nabali praised President Mahama for “transforming political talk” by placing trust in young people and appointing many of them to key government positions. He lauded the youth for their massive support in the last presidential and parliamentary elections, expressing confidence that their continued patience and restraint will enable the Mahama‑led NDC administration to fulfill its promises for all Ghanaians, irrespective of political or religious affiliation.
“The NDC must remain vibrant and stronger,” he added, calling on every member to focus on issues that will sustain the party’s dynamism in the year ahead. The message has been well received by party leaders, who say a united and energized base will be essential for the NDC’s future success.
