Accra, Ghana – MTN Ghana has taken a significant step towards environmental sustainability with the introduction of biodegradable SIM cards. The launch, announced during the company’s 2025 Sustainability Week, marks a key milestone in MTN Ghana’s commitment to reducing its environmental footprint.
The biodegradable SIM cards are made from forest-certified trees and are designed to degrade safely, reducing electronic waste. “This new product launch strengthens our commitment to environmental protection alongside high standards of service and innovation,” said Adwoa Wiafe, Chief Corporate Services and Sustainability Officer of MTN Ghana.
