Kwame Frimpong Wins KMA Presiding Member Elections

Mr. Kwame Frimpong has been re-elected as Presiding Member of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly for a historic third term, securing 58 votes out of 66, representing 87.87% of the total votes cast.

The victory comes after his contender, Ernest Baffour Ofori, stepped down, allowing Hon. Frimpong to run unopposed. The re-election is a testament to Hon. Frimpong’s leadership skills, vision, and dedication to Kumasi’s development.
In his acceptance speech, Mr. Frimpong expressed gratitude to the Assembly members for their trust and confidence in him. He pledged to build on his achievements, strengthen partnerships, and address the community’s pressing needs, especially sanitation and hygiene in the city.
Mr. Frimpong also appreciated Ernest Baffour Ofori’s decision to step down, citing it as a show of party unity and commitment to the development of the Metropolis. His re-election ensures continuity in the Assembly’s leadership, with many looking forward to his continued efforts to drive progress in the City and beyond.
