KMA Pleaded with Residents to Honour Tax Obligations to Enhance Development.

The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly KMA has made a passionate appealed to the residents to make honouring tax obligations a priority towards the development of the metropolis.
Mr Francis Dwirah the Metropolitan Coordinating Director made the appealed at the unveiling of the Assembly’s Medium Term Development Plan for 2026-2029
The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) presented its Medium Term Development Plan for 2026-2029 on September 11 at the Prempeh Assembly Hall in Kumasi.
The meeting aimed at gathering key stakeholders including Assembly Members, Heads of Department, and unit committee members to Formulates every four years, crucial for budgeting new projects and addressing community needs.
Gathered from twelve town councils, identifying critical challenges including, Security,  Education, Roads, Toilet Facilities, Markets, Sanitation/Waste Management, Employments, School Infrastructures, Water Sub-Structures.
Mr. Charles Kwesi Adjei, Head of Physical Planning Unit, reviewed previous plan (2022-2025) and revealed the current focus areas, and stressed the importance of plans towards addressing resident concerns and budgeting projects.
The participants were encouraged in the involvement in assembly initiatives, Sanitation Focus, Maintaining cleanliness to prevent diversion of development funds to sanitation issues.
He  expressed needs to be communicated to relevant stakeholders for action.
