The Kwabena Agyei Agyepong (KAA) 2028 Campaign has issued a press statement dismissing a false media report alleging that Ing. Kwabena Agyei Agyepong stated Former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo asked New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential aspirants to step aside for Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
Nana Ama Asantewaa Kwarko, the Spokesperson for the KAA 2028 Campaign, categorically denies the allegation, stating that Ing. Agyepong made no such comment.
The campaign claims that the report distorts Ing. Agyepong’s remarks from a recent media interaction, where he only acknowledged a meeting between President Akufo-Addo and NPP presidential aspirants.
It’s indicated that Ing. Agyepong emphasized that the meeting was an in-camera session, and out of respect for confidentiality, he declined to share what was discussed.
The KAA 2028 Campaign urges the public to disregard the fabricated story and encourages media outlets to uphold the highest standards of accuracy and responsibility in their reporting.
The KAA 2028 Campaign remains committed to its vision of restoring integrity, discipline, and meritocracy within the New Patriotic Party.
The campaign has urged the public to disregard the false report and focus on its efforts to promote a credible and transparent electoral process.
