The Ghana National Union of Technical Students (GNUTS) has expressed concern and relief following a road accident involving Minister of Education Haruna Iddrisu and his entourage.
In a press statement, GNUTS President Gati Delali Kofi commended the Minister’s dedication to education and the Ghana Ambulance Service’s prompt response to the incident. The accident occurred while the Minister was en route to attend the 40th Anniversary celebrations of Tumu College of Education and Jahan College of Education in the Upper West Region.
GNUTS is calling on the Ministry of Roads and Highways to ensure that all inter-regional roads are properly constructed and asphalted to prevent future accidents. “Our thoughts and prayers are with them and their families, and we remain hopeful for their swift return to good health,” the statement read.
