Poultry, Livestock Farmers Urged to Modernize Practices Amid Rising Costs, Market Volatility

Dr. Boris Baidoo, Vice President of the Ghana National Association of Poultry Farmers (GNAPF), has called on poultry and livestock farmers to adopt modern practices to address challenges of rising production costs and market volatility. He made the appeal while delivering greetings at the 3rd Joint Conference of the Ghana Society of Animal Production (GSAP) and Ghana Animal Science Association (GASA) in Kumasi.
 Dr. Baidoo’s Commended the theme “The Role of Animal Agriculture in National Development in an Era of Artificial Intelligence” as timely and visionary.
He expressed concern over the rising production costs, market volatility, and need for modernization in poultry and livestock farming.
He Stressed Artificial Intelligence and other technologies offer tools to improve feed efficiency, disease detection, supply chain management, and market forecasting.
He  emphasized unity and collaboration among farmers, scientists, policymakers, and stakeholders for shared success.
Dr. Badoo reiterated GNAPF commitment to working with researchers, policymakers, and partners to ensure poultry farmers benefit from emerging technologies.
He Advocates for policies making technology accessible and beneficial to farmers of all scales. Saying Poultry farming is a key contributor to Ghana’s nutrition, livelihoods, and employment.
Dr. Baidoo underscore the importance of modernizing animal agriculture practices in Ghana to drive national development, food security, and job creation.
