From Ernest Best Anane, Kumasi
Madam Rita Naa Odoley Sowah,
Deputy Minister for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, has inspected works on the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly’s (KMA) paediatric centre, praising progress on the project.
During a brief visit on Tuesday, Madam Sowah toured the KMA Clinic site, where a modern paediatric facility with staff bungalows and auxiliary units is under construction with funding from the District Assembly Common Fund. She commended the Assembly and urged management to continue supporting Mayor Mr. Richard Ofori-Agyeman Boadi.
The Deputy Minister advised the Mayor to maintain cordial relations with staff and assembly members, stressing that their cooperation is vital for success. Metro Coordinating Director Mr. Francis Dwira Darko pledged staff support, describing the Mayor as already collaborative since taking office.
Madam Sowah’s visit came as she was in Kumasi for official duties, including a courtesy call on the Mayor.
