Kumasi Mayor Visits Dagomba Line Fire Victims With Food and Household Items

Mr. Richard Kwasi Ofori Boadi Agyemang, the Mayor of Kumasi has visited Dagomba Line fire victims on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, to sympathize with residents affected by a recent fire outbreak and offer relief support.
The Mayor toured the affected area, assessing the damage and interacted with victims who lost their properties.
Mr.. Ofori Boadi Agyemang donated assorted food items and household essentials, including clothes, mattresses, and rice, to provide temporary relief and restore dignity to the victims.
He urged residents to prioritize safety, especially in congested communities, and directed the National Disaster Management Organisation to intensify fire prevention education.
The Mayor emphasized prioritizing vulnerable persons, including women, children, and the elderly, during relief distribution.
The donated items were handed over to the Assembly Member and community leaders for transparent distribution.
The Mayor disclosed that the visit complement the Assembly’s commitment to responsive governance and promoting safety and resilience in Kumasi metropolis.
