MTN Ghana is aimed at leading digital inclusion and developing Africa, according to Adwoa Afriyie Wife, Chief Corporate Sustainability Officer at MTN Ghana.
She explained that MTN Ghana’s vision is to ensure that stakeholders and communities are taken care of, making sure whatever they do is sustainable by giving back to society and ensuring that their tax obligations are met.
Adwoa Afriyie Wife emphasized that MTN Ghana does not want to leave anyone behind but connect people everywhere with the determination to build platforms that deepen financial inclusion and digital solutions to reach out to all people and share values.
Nii Adotey Mingle, Managing Director Northern Business Sector of MTN Ghana, stated that MTN provides connectivity, airtime, data, and mobilizes money, and has fiber in certain regions, allowing people to be connected and do business in a convenient manner.
Mr. Dickson Amoung-Yam, Technical Manager for Network Field Services at MTN Ghana, disclosed that the company has invested about $245 million in its network expansion for 2025, reaffirming its commitment to delivering faster and more reliable connectivity across the country. The investment is expected to significantly boost coverage and service quality, particularly in the Ashanti Region.
Mr. Amoung-Yam also emphasized that MTN Ghana is intensifying its anti-fraud campaign to protect Mobile Money (MoMo) and other digital services.
The company has introduced advanced technologies such as biometric logins, enhanced PIN security, and real-time monitoring systems to detect and block suspicious transactions.
The initiative forms part of MTN’s long-term ambition to position Ghana as a digital economy leader in Africa.
MTN officials stressed that these interventions are not only about customer protection but about strengthening trust in the company’s digital platforms, which serve millions of Ghanaians daily.
