Ahafo Ano South West DCE Prioritizes Deplorable Road Crisis

Mr. Abubakar Sedik, The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Ahafo Ano South West, has embarked on an inspection tour of ongoing road works, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to improving road infrastructure. The inspection focused on the reshaping of a 40-kilometre stretch of road linking Kunsu to Abesua through Asuogya.
The project aims to restore badly deteriorated feeder roads, ensuring safe movement of people, goods, and services. Mr. Abubakar Sadik disclosed that the reshaping exercise will extend to the Mankranso–Asuoabena road and subsequently to Mpasaso No. 2 to Asuoakoo.
The district is adopting practical and cost-effective engineering methods, using water tankers and rollers to improve road durability. “This approach will help improve the strength of the road surface and extend its lifespan,” Hon. Sadik noted.
The DCE acknowledged the deplorable condition of most roads in Ahafo Ano South West, affecting economic activities and access to essential services. He stressed that improving road accessibility is a top priority, saying, “As the DCE, it is my responsibility to make sure that roads in this district are motorable.
