IEAG Pays Courtesy Call on Bank of Ghana Governor

The leadership of the Importers and Exporters Association of Ghana (IEAG) paid a courtesy call on Governor Dr. Johnson Pandit Asiama at the Bank of Ghana’s headquarters at the Bank Square. The delegation, led by Executive Secretary Mr. Samson Awingobit Asaki, was received by the Second Deputy Governor, Mrs. Matilda Asante-Asiedu.
The IEAG delegation commended the Bank of Ghana for its strong leadership in stabilizing the cedi and improving the macroeconomic outlook. Mr. Awingobit praised the Bank’s policies under Dr. Asiama’s leadership, highlighting their positive impact on the business community.
The IEAG Executive Secretary called for further support from the Bank of Ghana to address concerns that required the Bank’s intervention to resolve.
Governor Asiama assured the group that the Bank remained committed to supporting the business community and working to address challenges facing the economy.
The Bank of Ghana’s commitment to supporting the business community was reiterated by Governor Asiama. The meeting demonstrated the Bank’s willingness to engage with stakeholders and address concerns affecting the economy.
