KMA Arrests Four Over Illicit Drug Trade in Kumasi

KThe Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) arrested four people on Monday for selling illicit drugs at a sanitation site behind the Ashtown Post Office.
KMA’s internal Security Task Force carried out the operation on March 16, seizing suspected Indian hemp, hard drugs, cigarettes, boxes of “Mashallah” (Ataya), cash, a locally made pistol and other harmful items. The suspects, whose identities were withheld, have been handed to the Kumasi Central Police for investigation.
The Assembly reiterated its commitment to law and public safety, urging residents to report suspicious activities and cooperate with ongoing security efforts.
