The Kumawu District Assembly, led by District Chief Executive Kwasi Amankwaa (Tom Cee), joined traditional leader Barima Sarfo Tweneboa Kodua, Dr Kwabena Duffuor, and MP Ernest Yaw Anim to launch the Papa Nantwie Festival, marking community progress and engagement.
The programme opened with health walks across several communities, allowing the DCE to interact with residents and promote healthy living. Mr. Amankwaa also distributed essential items to households, a gesture welcomed by beneficiaries.
Women and young girls participated in training sessions aimed at supporting entrepreneurship, with resources allocated to strengthen small businesses.
The festival climaxed with a concert featuring Shatta Wale, drawing large crowds for a night of music and celebration.
“People of Kumawu are proud of what we have achieved together, and we are committed to doing more,” Amankwaa said, citing collective effort behind recent development.
Residents described the festival as a renewal of community spirit and optimism for continued growth.
