The Christ Apostolic University College (CAUC) held its 11th congregation over the weekend, graduating 188 students across various disciplines. The ceremony, themed “Sustainable Minds, Sustainable Leadership for a Greener Tomorrow”, marked a milestone for the faith-based institution in the Ashanti Region.
Chancellor Apostle Samuel Amponsah Frimpong Esq. congratulated the graduates, urging them to see the event as the start of a life-long journey of learning, service and leadership. He stressed that innovation is no longer optional but necessary, and reaffirmed CAUC’s vision of producing graduates who blend academic excellence with moral responsibility and spiritual values. He also pledged the church’s continued partnership with government in national development, noting education’s role in raising ethical leaders.
Presidential Advisor on the Economy Seth Terkper, speaking on behalf of the Chief of Staff, said the theme aligned with Ghana’s push for sustainability. He highlighted government efforts to restore fiscal stability after debt challenges, improve credit ratings, and pursue development that balances growth with environmental protection. “A greener tomorrow is not guaranteed without hard work,” he told graduates, encouraging them to build businesses, design policies and create solutions that respect both people and the planet.
The Overall Best Student award went to Mr. Ebenezer Kofi Sekyi Arhinful (3.83 CGPA), who also emerged Best Student in the School of Theology. Other honourees were Tawiah Francis Arthur (Business), Patricia Akyerem (Education) and Juliana Agyemang (Technology). In his valedictory speech, Mr. Sekyi Arhinful dedicated the award to lecturers, parents and peers, urging colleagues to pursue impact and service beyond certificates.
The congregation drew participation from faculty, clergy and families, reinforcing CAUC’s role in forming graduates prepared to contribute to Ghana’s sustainable future
