Mr.. Ibrahim Issahak, District Chief Executive for Atwima Mponua, has emphasized the need for Ghanaians to cultivate a culture of maintenance to boost sustainability and save resources.
Speaking at the commissioning of a six-unit teachers’ quarters with other facilities for Donkoto Anglican Basic Schools, he noted that many Ghanaians perceive freely given things as not needing care, a notion he urged be discouraged.
The facility, donated by Ekom Yeya Co-operative Mining Group, will enhance teaching and learning activities. Hon. Issahak appealed to other institutions to emulate this gesture as part of their corporate social responsibility.
Mr. Adu Gyamfi, Chairman of Ghana National Small Scale Mining Association and Ekom Yeya Co-operative Mining Group, highlighted the rationale for the support and future commitments to other communities
Nana Kwame Awuah II, Chief of Donkoto, expressed delight at the magnificent edifice and wished the school well.
