From Ernest Best Anane, Kumasi
Nana Adu Gyamfi Kumanini Barimah Kesseh II, Developmental Chief of Nyankyerenease, has appealed to NPP presidential aspirants to be guided against division and prioritize unity and peaceful coexistence after the January 31, 2026 primaries.
He emphasized that unity is key to winning political power and warned against division within the party.
Speaking to the media, Nana Adu Gyamfi stressed that any aspirant or group planning evil against others would face consequences. He noted that God chooses leaders and those who try to impose themselves would be exposed and unsuccessful.
He urged the five aspirants to think of party unity and support the winner, advising their followers to embrace unity and peaceful coexistence for the party’s progress towards the 2028 general elections.
Nana Adu Gyamfi questioned why NPP members would create division within the party over leadership ambitions.
He expressed worry over the use abusive words against each other’s camp for the sake of who to lead the party towards 2028 general elections and urged those behind such attitude to put a stop to such acts that are not going to help the party.
