Atwima Nwabiagya South MCE Expresses Concern Over Deplorable Roads

Mr Wisdom Osei Boamah, the Atwima Nwabiagya South Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), has expressed deep concern over the deplorable state of roads in the municipality.

In an interview on Kumasi-based Akoma 87.9 FM, he lamented that aside from the Sofoline to Nyinahin stretch on the Kumasi-Bibiani road, there are no tarred roads in the area.

He stated that the deplorable state of roads has far-reaching consequences for the local community, affecting economic activities and daily life.

According to him, the Residents have expressed worry over the poor road network, citing its negative impact on commercial activities and daily life.says Pregnant women have even lost unborn babies because of the poor road conditions.

He reiterated that himself as the Municipal Chief Executive, along with residents and the MP, has appealed to the government to prioritize road infrastructure development in the area.

He disclosed that Commercial activities in the area have come to a standstill because of the bad road network, affecting traders and drivers alike.

He expressed the Hope that the government is expected to provide a clear timeline for the completion of abandoned road projects and ensure that funds are available to support the development of the area’s infrastructure. He urged the authorities to prioritize road infrastructure development in Atwima Nwabiagya South to address the pressing concerns of the local community.
