Kumasi Mayor Advises Students to Make Good Use of Time

The Metropolitan Chief Executive Officer (MCE) for Kumasi, Mr. Agyemang Boadi aka King Zubah, has advised students at Senior High Schools to make good use of their time to guarantee a better future. According to him, students should not wait until their final examination before taking their studies seriously, but rather, they should approach their studies with diligence and dedication, as if their whole lives depend on education.
The Mayor made this call during a monitoring exercise at various Senior High Schools in the metropolis, aimed at minimizing the incidence of examination malpractice. He was accompanied by Mr. David Oppong, the Metro Director of Education, and the Metro Coordinating Director. The monitoring exercise covered schools such as Kumasi Girls, Islamic Senior High, and Anglican Senior High Schools.
Mr. Agyemang Boadi expressed his expectation that students in Kumasi would perform well and take the lead in education at the second cycle level. He noted that the candidates were doing well and appeared composed, which he believed would translate to good results.
The Mayor’s advice emphasizes the importance of education in shaping the future of students. By taking their studies seriously, students can set themselves up for success and achieve their aspirations.
The monitoring exercise also highlights the commitment of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly to ensuring the integrity of the examination process.
Mr David Oppong the Metropolitan Director of Education, urged parents to always takes keen interest in their wards education, because that is the only legacy they could leave them.
He stressed that education is the only key to success in life and that parents should always encourage their ward to study at their school going age to become responsible adults in the society and contribute to the welfare of the families and socioeconomic development of the country.
