New-Tafo COSRA Donates to Missionaries of Charity Sisters of Mother Theresa New Life Home

 Catholic Organisation for Social and Religious Advancement (COSRA) at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, New-Tafo, as part of their 25th anniversary Celebration donated foods and other relief items worth over Gh¢10,000.00 to the inmates at  Missionaries of Charity Sisters of Mother Theresa New Life Home at Mbrom, a suburb of Kumasi.
Mr Kelvin Kwame Acquah and Mr Simon Oppong, the President and Vice President respectively of the Society disclosed that Charity is part of their social responsibility as their name implies and as part of the activities to mark their anniversary deemed it appropriate to support the inmates at the home.
According to the president, the gesture is what the society is known for which they are being doing annually in support of the needy in the society regardless of one’s religious background.
He stated that they decided to come to the aid of the Charity Sisters upon their inquiries revealed that the home is in need because of lack of a permanent supporters but on relying on individuals, philanthropists, Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) Churches groups and societies like COSRA.
Mr Acquah use the opportunity to make a passionate appeal to groups, philanthropists, Churches and other societies to emulate what COSRA at Corpus Christi Catholic Church has done to always come to the aid of the Charity Sisters Home to lessen the burden of the upbringing of the inmates on the caretakers.
The items donated to the Home includes five bags of Rice, a gallon of Cooking Oil, a bag of Sugar, Pampers, toiletries, five create of Eggs, Four cartons of Milk, Milo, Sardines Soaps Detergents Powder and secondhand clothes.
